Do I have OCD?

I'm starting to think I might have some form of OCD.......

No, I'm not particularly neat (in fact, I am downright messy - I am the only person I know that can get messy when OTHER people are eating. Conversely, other people often get messy when I eat). And no, I don't have to have things done "just so" (in fact, I often don't have to have things done at all - I really prefer to blow stuff off as long as possible). No, my particular obsession (and compulsion) is with being right. I'm not one of those people who alway has to be right - even when they are wrong. I am one of those who always is right. My brother even gave me a T-shirt for Christmas that said "Those of you who think you know everything annoy those of us that do" which I think sums it up pretty well.

Case in point: A friend posted a link to a pretty cool live spoof to the opening sequence of one of my favorite TV shows - the simpsons. I immediately noticed something that bothered me - that Homer's car appears to have it's steering wheel on the left side, but Marge's car appears to have it on the RIGHT side. "Are they living in different countries?" I asked. Then I started to wonder - "Is that really a discrepancy, or is it something that I have just never noticed?" I started to worry that I had criticized something incorrectly. So, at 1 a.m. as I am getting ready for bed, I had to go downstairs, pop in my Simpsons Season 3 DVD and check. I was right, by the way - in the REAL simpsons, both Homer's and Marge's cars have their steering wheels on the correct side (left - also known as the American side). I think I might have a problem.

p.s. Season Three has two episodes that I consider to be two of the best all-time episodes. (well, they are two of my all-time favorites, and since we have already established that I am always right, they must logically be two of the all-time best)

Radio Bart: Bart pranks the town into thinking that Timmy o'Toole fell down a well

Homer at the Bat:Mr. Burns hires a bunch of ringers to play on the company softball team - Jose Conseco, Roger Clemens, Darryl Strawberry, Mike Sciosa, Don Mattingly and many others.

Maybe it’s not that you have a psychological disorder. Maybe you’re just a big jerk... Or as we like to call it, "Big A Syndrome." There is no medication for that particular problem.
