I had not filled up my wife's gas tank in over a year, but I did so this weekend because I thought gas prices were set to go even higher. Ugh. At least they raised the credit card limit from $50 to $75 so I only had to swipe it twice instead of three times.

If it makes you feel any better, in less than a week, we spent $284.23 on gas for the vehicles and the boat, and that wasn't even gassing the boat up at the marina, which would have been $3.50+ per gallon :)

sigh... no, it doesn't really make me feel any better. Now I wish I had a boat :)
If this rain keeps up, we may have to trade the boat in for an ark. Our dock is partially under water again :( Hopefully we'll dry out a bit today :)
Since the beginning of the year, the needle on my petrol gauge has sat only between the red line and the quarter full mark.
